چکیده
SummarySensory reinnervation of autologous breast tissue after free flap reconstruction is highly variable. There no long term follow up data exploring spontaneous and how this affects patients’ quality life nor the nerve-related symptoms they experience. To address we invited patients at a minimum 3 years since non-neurotised, free-flap to complete patient-reported outcome measures sensation, breast-related symptoms.MethodsWe performed retrospective cohort study undergoing unilateral MS-TRAM or DIEP between 01-01-2015 31-12-2019 in Department Plastic Reconstructive Surgery Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. Participants were recently developed Breast-Q© Breast Sensation Module.ResultsAll had undergone immediate (n=85) delayed (n=82) mastectomy using either (n=150) TRAM (n=17) prior. Comparison of Patient-reported Outcomes after Implant Versus Autologous Tissue Breast Reconstruction Using the BREAST-Q
BACKGROUND The demand for reconstructive breast procedures of various types has accelerated in recent years. Coupled with increased patient expectations, it has fostered the development of oncoplastic and reconstructive techniques in breast surgery. In the setting of postmastectomy reconstruction, patient satisfaction and quality of life are the most significant outcome variables when evaluatin...

OBJECTIVE To present the outcomes of posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) double-bundle reconstruction using autologous hamstring tendons, with a minimum follow-up of two years. METHODS Evaluation of 16 cases of PCL injury that underwent double-bundle reconstruction with autogenous hamstring tendons, between 2011 and 2013. The final sample consisted of 16 patients, 15 men and one woman, with a m...
متن کاملArthroscopic Acetabular Labral Reconstruction with Fascia Lata Allograft: Clinical Outcomes at Minimum One-Year Follow-Up
BACKGROUND The integrity of the acetabular labrum is crucial to normal biomechanics of the hip joint. Disruption of the labral seal could be detrimental to the overall nutrition of the cartilage, leading to its premature degeneration. PURPOSE The aim of this study is to determine the clinical effectiveness of arthroscopic hip labral reconstruction using fascia lata allograft. The hypothesis i...
متن کاملUltrasound Shear-Wave Elastography for Follow-Up Fat Induration after Breast Reconstruction with an Autologous Flap
Fat induration is associated with necrosis and remains a common complication in breast reconstructions with autologous flaps after mastectomy. Fat induration can cause deep tissue infection, pain, distress, and anxiety. However, the diagnosis for this problem has not been objectively defined. In the current article, We will share our experience of using ultrasound shear-wave elastography with 1...
